  2. Introduction Did you know chipmunks cheeks stretch 3 times their head size. They do this so they can carry acorns in their mouth.

  3. Description • A chipmunk’s back has black and white stripes. • It is small and furry with small ears. • They also have stripes on their head and tail.

  4. Habitats They live in North America and Asia . They also live in the woods, forest, scrbs, parks, and gardens.

  5. Types of Food The Chipmunks main food is seeds, nuts, and berreis. They also eat leaves, grass, snails, slugs, and insects.

  6. Fun Facts • Something you might not know about a chipmunk is that both male and female chipmunk raise their young together. • Litters of two to live baby chipmunks are born in May. • The western chipmunk is smaller than the estern chipmunk.

  7. Fun Facts • Chipmunks communicate with a chirping sounds. • Some chipmunks use the same burrow all their life and never go more than about 160 feet from the entrances.
