  4. Participate in Project • Consider onsite staff • Expect Updates • Expect Public/Industry Updates • Help Select Tactics Used • Reflect Public and Elected Official Concerns • Suggest Alternatives

Speak Up When Not Enough is Done • Put All Resources (CDFA’s & USDA’s) Up Front – Don’t Play Catch-up • Help CDFA & USDA get Started • Locations and Staffing • Lobby Elected Officials for More Resources • Rally Industry • FB • Affected Commodity Groups • Assist with Refusals Through DA/City Attorney

Keep the Public Informed/Involved • Start Early • Provide the Options • Play for the Middle • Anticipate the Extremists • Your Growers will follow and support if informed • If you give the extremists the upper hand in the press and public opinion your industry can’t help you • It is up hill to win back the public
