Overall Progress • 69 ANSN activities planned for 2013 (refer to following slide for details) • Revision of CBMG (Capacity Building Management Group) roles, working mechanisms and procedures. • Revision of ANSN Vision 2020 as suggested by the ANSN Plenary. • Terms of Reference for CTG (Communication Topical Group) and LMSTG (Leadership and Management for Regulatory Bodies) topical groups finalised. • Terms of Reference for ANSN evaluation field visits drafted and circulated for review. • Introduction of Russia as a potential Supporting State in ANSN. Key future planned ANSN Activities for 2013 • Regional Workshop on Continuous Improvement of Safety in view of lessons learnt from the Fukushima Accident – JNES, Japan (4th quarter of 2013). • 2nd Regional Workshop on practical NPP construction experience – China. • Field visits by external experts for ANSN evaluation (3rd & 4th quarter 2013). • National Workshop on Self-Assessment (Governmental Level) of Capacity Building Activities in Indonesia. • Expert Mission to assist Vietnam in filling the Gaps in EPR identified by the EPREV Mission – VARANS, Vietnam (1st July – 5th July 2013) • National/Regional Workshop on Performance Indicator of Regulatory Body – Jakarta, Indonesia (2nd Dec – 7th Dec 2013) • Self-Assessment for Peer Review mission on the ETTG – Bangladesh. Status of ANSN Capacity Building IT modules • Solution for video-conferencing (Webinar) • CISCO Webex solution for video conferencing (Webinar) implemented for ANSN. • Guidelines for usage as well as recommended minimum hardware and bandwidth requirements mentioned within the Webinar page in centralised ANSN website. • Incorporation of Webinar in ANSN national centre websites to be completed soon. • SATG actively using Webinar solution. • GRITG conducted 1 Webinar session; planning to conduct 1 more in June – July 2013. • Test sessions carried out among ANSN member states with help of ITSG members. No performance issues encountered. • ANSN topical groups should initiate usage of Webinar. National Workshop on Capacity Building IT modules

Status of ANSN Capacity Building IT modules • Experts Database • Migration of experts from old ANSN activities completed. • Interface to post query to registered experts available in centralised ANSN website, within each topical group page, by clicking on link “Ask an expert”, as illustrated below: • Current volume of experts in database, as mentioned below: 16th SC meeting

Status of ANSN Capacity Building IT modules • Past and future IT events • ITSG events focussed on promotion of Capacity Building IT modules in centralised ANSN website as well as ANSN national centre websites. • Topical group coordinators workshop held in KINS, Korea in Nov 2012 Key Recommendations: • Layout of home page of centralised ANSN website to be modified to display ANSN activities, vision and mission more visibly. • Enhancements proposed for pool of experts database as well as e-Library implementation. • Discussion forums and emailing groups to be used for frequent interactions among ANSN community. • ANSN users to be taken into consideration during IT requirements analysis; this can be facilitated via technical workshops/meetings with various stakeholders. Status of ANSN Capacity Building IT modules • Past and future IT events • Consultancy meeting to finalise CMS (content management system) for ANSN national centre websites in Yogyakarta, Indonesia (13th – 14th May, 2013). • Indonesia playing key role in implementation of CMS. • Enhancements in CMS would enable integration of several elements of Capacity Building IT modules in national centre websites • National workshop to train Indonesian topical group members for Capacity Building IT modules in Jakarta, Indonesia (16th -17th May 2013) National Workshop on Capacity Building IT modules

Status of ANSN Capacity Building IT modules • Past and future IT events • Expert mission to facilitate upgrades in Malaysian ANSN national centre website in Selangor, Malaysia from 27th – 28th May 2013. • National workshop to train Malaysian topical group members for Capacity Building IT modules in Selangor, Malaysia (29th – 31st May 2013) • National workshop to train Thailand topical group members for Capacity Building IT modules in Bangkok, Thailand(25th - 27th June 2013) • National workshop to train Vietnam topical group members for Capacity Building IT modules in Vietnam (tentatively 4th quarter 2013) National Workshop on Capacity Building IT modules

  14. Key consideration/expectations - TG members • Continuous review of the centralised ANSN website. Report back any enhancements. • Necessity for Capacity Building IT elements to be integrated in national centre websites. • Promotion of Capacity Building IT modules in centralised ANSN website. • Need for documents/content in regional languages. • Need for training material/guidelines. • Acknowledgement of responsibilities of national ITSG members. • Support for ITSG events (national workshops and training courses) ** Above issues can be discussed during the TG members presentations.
