  2. Diagnosis • Most embolisms happen to the people that have high risk of blood clots, smokers, and heart disease. Also, people with high blood pressure, atherosclerosis, and high cholesterol

  3. Treatment • Anticoagulants or blood thinners are the main source of treatment. • Thrombolytics are used for emergency treatments • They also may use methods to scrap the remaining blood clot, this is done in the ER.
