Usted Command Forms • Use these to tell someone to do (or not to do) something. • Ud. Commands add: • -e for –ar verbs • -a for –er or –ir verbs • Uds. Commands add: • -en for –ar verbs • -an for –er or –ir verbs • Example: • Comer → Coma (Ud.) → Coman (Uds.)
Irregulars • If a verb is irregular in its yo form, then it will be the same in the command form. • Example: • Seguir → Sigo (Yo form) → Siga (Command) • Other similar verbs: • Caer, hacer, oír, poner, salir, venir, tener, traer, ofrecer
Spelling Changes • Verbs ending in –car, -gar, or –zar require spelling changes before adding an -e: • -car → -que • -gar → -gue • -zar → -ce • Example: • Buscar → Busque (Ud.) → Busquen (Uds.)

Irregular…Irregulars • Some verbs do not use irregular yo forms to create their forms • Dar → Demos • Estar → Estemos • Saber → Sepamos • Ser → Seamos • Ir → Vamos; Negative: No Vayamos
Reflexives • For reflexives: drop the last “s” and put the reflexive pronoun in its place • Example: • Levantemos → Levantemonos
Conditional • Conditional allows you to talk about what you could, should, or would do • It works the same as the future tense: • Add the ending straight to the infinitive • All words have the same ending • Endings:
