  3. How do I use the Roadmap? • Navigate to www.nstcenter.com • Click on the Navy Community tab • Click on the Roadmap Icon • Follow the flow chart • Click on each step for more information

  10. Critical Steps • Review specification • Prepare and submit qualification application • Test according to the spec • Test in fleet and join the list

  11. Review specification Find the specification Make sure it is up to date Do an in-house review based on what you find

  13. Obtain a copy of current spec

  14. Conduct in-house review

  15. Prepare and submit application Get the application and fill it out Submit the application to 05Q Wait for the NAVSEA review Wait for the Defense Contract Management Agency survey

  17. Provide appliction to 05Q

  18. Await NAVSEA review

  19. Undergo DCMA survey

  20. Test according to the spec Wait for authorization Test under DCMA supervision and submit to Navy Environmental Health Center for review Compile results and submit to NAVSEA

  21. Get authorization to test

  22. Conduct product testing

  23. Get NEHC review

  24. Compile submission package

  25. Submit package to 05Q

  26. Test in fleet and join the list Perform fleet testing, if required If you pass tests, join the list

  28. Product placed on QPL

  29. Future Directions • Military specification Roadmap enhancement • Read the military spec • Determine what tests are necessary • Explain the test and where to get it • Identify the result you must achieve

  30. Bumps in the Roadmap • Specs and test documents are not in synch • Specs point to tests that are canceled • NST Center will resolve these issues • These roadmaps will present solutions to the problems when released
