  5. Start at the end! • What does ‘God of the 2nd Chance’ look like in the context of… • Kingdom culture - its ways and values? • “Your will be done on earth as it in heaven”?

  6. We forgive because… … we are forgiven. … Jesus fulfilled forgiveness on the cross. … in heaven forgiveness is fulfilled. … forgiveness reveals the kingdom. … it is ‘your will be done on earth as it is in heaven’. … it is ‘your kingdom come’.

The Lord’s Prayer - Matthew 6:12 • NIV: And forgive us our debts, • as we also have forgiven our debtors. • Voice: And forgive us our debts • as we forgive those who owe us something. • Passion: Forgive us the wrongs we have done • as we ourselves release forgiveness • to those who have wronged us. • “Send away the results of our debts (or shortcomings)” • “Give us serenity as we also allow others serenity.” • Message: Keep us forgiven with you • and forgiving others.

Matthew 6:14-15 • NIV:For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. • But if you do not forgive others their sins, • your Father will not forgive your sins. • Passion: “And when you pray, make sure you forgive the faults of others so that your Father in heaven will also forgive you. • But if you withhold forgiveness from others, • your Father withholds forgiveness from you.” • Message: In prayer there is a connection between what God does and what you do. • You can’t get forgiveness from God, for instance, without also forgiving others. • If you refuse to do your part, you cut yourself off from God’s part.
