The Central Trauma Registry faces several challenges, including backlogs in entering abstracts and communication issues between staff and IT departments. Currently, efforts are underway to address these obstacles, including potential shifts to an application server for the Collector, which is designed to streamline data management. It is essential to unify communication among stakeholders to ensure everyone is informed. Training sessions for ICD9 education will also be initiated in Spring 2014, aiming to enhance user proficiency and minimize future glitches. Continued testing and feedback are crucial as we work toward effective solutions.

Collector • Central Trauma Registry • Available memory • Cluster server environment vs. virtual server environment • Share drive instead of an application drive • Windows 7 • Unable to upload downloads from software based programs • Very backlogged in entering abstracts into Central Trauma Registry and providing feedback
Collector • What are we doing about it? • Actively looking at putting Collector on the application server where MT Tumor Registry • Testing, updates and changes will still need to be made • I will look at those facilities that submitted abstracts and provide a letter with feedback about issues that I see (so you get some sort of feedback, since our feedback is used for PI etc) since I don’t know when we will be up and running
Web-based Collector forpaper abstract users • It all came to a halt early last summer • State web site • Staff changes with MT IT and falls off radar screens • Better communication, DI, MT IT and MT EMSTS on same page and all are getting the same information • Start training ICD9 education (Spring 2014)? with super users and then roll out with webex coding to all (will update at RTAC, STCC and listserve) • Will continue to do testing of product to see if server will support and hopefully minimize glitches • Need to have a product for education to make sense • Don’t want to have education that will be forgotten and not used right away • Still awaiting report function
