  2. What are Graphic Organizers? Visual and spatial display of words which demonstrates the relationships between concepts.

  3. Why Use Graphic Organizers? • Enhances retention and recall and encourages higher order thinking (Hyerle, 2009) • Increases comprehension (Dexter et al., 2011) • Integrates concepts rather than presenting disconnected facts (Stull & Mayer, 2007) • Way to connect new information with prior knowledge(Mayer, 1979)
