  2. Origins • Cameron JibrilThomaz was born on September 8, 1987 in Minot, North Dakota. • Parents divorced at 3, Wiz moved from place to place because of military obligations.

  3. Wiz settled in Pittsburgh and there is where he finished high school and released his first mix tape. • His name was originally Wisdom Khalifa but he later shortened to Wiz.

  4. Achievements • Album “Show and Play” was claimed “arguably the best album of the year” by Okayplayer.com. • Song “Say Yeah” reached Rhythmic Top 40 and Billboard Hot Rap Songs. • Wiz was declared “Artist To Watch” by Rolling Stone magazine. • Album “Deal or No deal” made it on the top 25 Billboard hip hop albums and made it on the top ten of iTunes in the first week it was released. • Named MTV’s number one Hottest Breakthrough MC in 2009. • Song “Black and Yellow” peaked at number 11 on billboards hot 100, number ten on Billboard hip-hop and number five on Rap songs Charts.
