  1. COMMON PAVEMENT ISSUES CAUSED BY EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS Block cracking on your pavement appears as big connecting rectangles. It often happens when the pavement made up of asphalt shrinks during the changes in temperature. To repair such an issue on the asphalt pavement, sealing is done to prevent moisture from entering into the surface. BLOCK CRACKS Linear cracks look parallel to the centerline pavement. They are commonly a result of poor joint construction and pavement fatigue. The same repairing job is done to fix this issue that is used to fix block cracks. LINEAR CRACKS Potholes are some holes ort depressions in the asphalt pavement surface. These holes can penetrate the asphalt surface to the base. A replacement patch is used to repair POT HOLES potholes. ALLIGATOR CRACKS It is a structural failure that is caused due to the load resulting in the damaged base, surface, or sub grade. These cracks look like an alligator skin. When the new material is slipped over the underlying surface of the asphalt pavement which occurs due to lack of bonding. A partial or complete depth patch needed to remove these marks. SLIPPAGE CRACKS They are one of the pavement defects that are commonly seen on narrow pavements. They are caused due to poor drainage systems, heavy traffic, shrinkage of asphalt surface near the edges of payment, and the problem with the underlying layers. Crack sealing is done to fix this issue while the area gets reconstructed. EDGE CRACKS PAVEMENT SERVICES CORPORATION 4000 TARRANT MAIN EULESS TX 76040 (817) 540-0652 www.nopothole.com
