  5. Description • 20 mm to 50 mm long. Large Eyes for stealing. 1-6 in. long. Cold Blooded. Its scientific name is Anisoptera. Eats other insects. Extremely fast don’t try to out run it! Can even eat small fish or tadpoles! CAUTION DRAGONFLIES BITE PEOPLE! Some dragonflies live up to 6 or 7 years! Pollution Tolerance 4! That’s a weakness! Remember dragonflies can change colors so they are super sneaky! A dragonflies predator is a sparrow so all sparrows look out for him!

  6. Life Cycle of Dragonflies The first step of a dragonfly life cycle is the egg. The next one is the nymph ( larva ). The last step is the adult. Here is a picture of the life cycle.
