  2. Combat Operations: OEF: OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM Afghanistan combat zone. Includes the surrounding countries and all other GWOT nations except for OIF/OND. Combat Operations began on 7 October 2001 continuing through today. OIF: OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM Iraqi combat zone beginning 19 March 2003 ending 31 Aug 2010. OND: Operation New Dawn Formerly OIF, beginning 1 Sept 2010 to 15 December 2011. GWOT: GLOBAL WAR ON TERROISM Broad term for numerous Global locations. Matching OEF/ OIF/OND.

  3. Non-Combat Operations: All other areas not designated GWOT

  4. VA Eligibility: 5 year Combat Veteran Eligibility. Once enrolled in VA eligibility is for life. Non-combat Veteran eligibility status is determined by income & Service Connected conditions. In addition, Mental health conditions & Military Sexual Trauma would allow for VA health care eligibility. Camp Lejeune 1/1/57-12/31/87.

  5. VA Services: Primary Care Clinic:the entry into VA health care services. Initial PC Post-Deployment Assessment: PC Nursing Staff (PACT), PC Provider & PC Social Worker (Combat Case Manager). Primary Care MH Integration: Clinic Nurse Specialists, Social Work, Psychologists. Women’s Health Clinic.

Specialty Clinics: Mental Health: Outpatient: Psychotherapy, Psychiatry, Suicide Prevention, Substance Abuse: Abstinence Based & Recovery Model, Neuropsychology, Compensated Work Therapy, Pain School. Class offerings: Anger Management, Symptom Management, Post-Deployment, Addiction & Trauma Recovery Management, Operation Enduring Family, Battle Body Re-training and others. Inpatient:Detox, Suicidal/Homicidal ideations, Depression other MH issues.

  7. Specialty Clinics: (contd.) Residential Treatment: PTSD, Substance Abuse, OEF/OIF/OND Program. Vet Center Services: Store front model. Multiple locations. Women’s Resource Center: Stand Alone Center offering MH services to Women. HUD/VASH: Homeless Program. Veterans Justice Outreach: Treatment Court.

  8. Specialty Clinics: (contd.) Polytrauma Clinic: Level III. Traumatic Brain Injury services, team approach: Social Work, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Neuropsychology, Psychology, Rehab MD. OEF/OIF/OND Team: Team approach offering multiple services for the higher need Combat Veteran. Program Manager, Clinical Case Management, Transition Patient Advocates. Dental: limited services unless SC

  9. Specialty Clinics: (contd.) Orthopedic: Eye: Audiology: Prosthetics: Allergy: Dermatology: Surgical Services: Pulmonary/Respiratory Services: Non-VA Care (Fee Service): Acupuncture, Chiropractic Services.

  10. Outreach Services: Yellow Ribbon/Reintegration Events for area National Guard & Reserve Units. USMC Musters. VA Briefings as requested. College & University involvement. Welcome Home Events.

  11. Community Services & Events: Veteran Career Fairs Critical Incident Briefings Employee Assistance Program Briefings Guitar for Veterans Pets for Vets: Pet Expo Dry Hootch: Peer Support Healing Waters: Fly Fishing
