However opinions are deeply divided on whether it is a productive marketing avenue or not. Some companies swear by it and would not be told otherwise no matter how convincing an argument you might make. These companies have used telemarketing to their advantage and know all the ins and outs of the process. They are adept at setting the right base at the start of the campaign, monitoring it mid-way and quickly adjusting and making changes based on the direction of the campaign and finally at evaluating and studying reports to gain maximum insights from a completed campaign. They use these insights to plan future campaigns more productively and ensuring that their campaigns get better and better with time, thereby gaining that cutting edge over their competitors. However there are many companies on the other side of the fence who simply cannot come to believe that telemarketing works. They have never used it before but have been swayed by negative feedback from various sources and tend to concentrate on other marketing avenues. These companies do not realize the power of telemarketing and simply stay devoid of the advantages that it holds over many other marketing avenues.
