Welcome to the Choose Your Own Adventure game! In this adventure, you are the hated knight of another kingdom, and you have finally decided to leave your kingdom for a new one. Your plan is to start all over again in a new place. In this adventure, you will encounter other knights, spies, eagles, and maybe even be rewarded for all your efforts…should you choose your path wisely. Simply click on the path that you wish to take throughout the game and try to make it through without coming across a dead end. You immediately are welcomed by the king and asked for some help… This is you
Welcome! I am King Fendral of the English Billige. It seems that my daughter, the princess has left the castle without telling anyone. If you help me find her, you shall be rewarded. Help the King. Explore the kingdom.
The king looks upset about the fact that you just wanted to leave without helping him. He begins to turn bright red and starts screaming and swearing at you. He shoves you out of the castle angrily and tells you not to come back until he has become less angry.
You walk through the kingdom and you see some people walking towards you. There is a man with armor and a sword. He looks intimidating…you look to your left and see an innocent looking woman with her children. Who do you talk to? Talk to the woman with children. Ask the man with the sword
“Hello Sir, is there anything to do here for fun? I just came here and I don’t know what to do really…” you ask politely. “Oh you are new? Wait…I feel like I recognize you…aren’t you that man who caused destruction in his old kingdom?” he asks starting to feel angry. “You have no reason to be meddling with my affairs, I just asked you a question and I expect an answer” • “Of course not my good Sir, but you seem like you have a good eye for detail.”
“Of course not my good Sir, but you seem like you have a good eye for detail.” you answer, trying not to cause trouble. • Shocked by your polite response, the man with the sword says “Actually, you should probably just go to see the King, he needs some help, he could use someone as helpful as you...”
“You have no reason to be meddling with my affairs, I just asked you a question and I expect an answer,” you yell impatiently. “Well fine, there’s a mountain about an hours walk away…lots of wildlife. Maybe you’ll fit right in there, you know, with the animals and all.” he responds slyly. You’ve had enough! Draw your sword! Say thank you and head to the mountain.
You begin a duel, swords swinging, anger boiling within you both. He seems like he is no match for your skills. Your naturally arrogant character gets the best of you when all of a sudden…
Wow that other Knight sure gave you a nice place to check out. You have heard that Eagles here are really aggressive and might kill you… Keep walking around the mountain, it’s nice here. Head back to the castle
You walk up to the woman with her children and begin a conversation with her about the kingdom. Her name is Thea and she he seems polite, but there’s something off about her children… Go back to find the man with the sword Ask Thea about the king and why he seems to be angry all the time.
“Why is the king always so mad? I have just arrived in the kingdom and he’s already asking me for a favor. I turned him down and he just got so angry at me.” You ask. Thea looks at you a little saddened, “His daughter, the princess is always running away from home without telling him. They don’t get along and he’s always concerned about her safety. You just came here? Where did you come from? And why did you have to leave?” Keep it a secret. Don’t need other people knowing about your past life. Explain why you left, she’s just a commoner.
“Well actually, I was hated in my other kingdom. I used to be the King’s favorite knight until one day I let out all the prisoners and all the animals out of their stalls. It caused so much destruction and death that I was put in prison and I was supposed to be hanged.” You explain. “Are you Gavin?? Oh my goodness! My dwarves will have you arrested and hanged right away!!” Thea screams as she calls out to her dwarf friends you thought were her children. You try to run away… Run into the castle. Run into the forest.
“Never mind that. I’m going to be on my way, it was nice to talk to you.” You say as you start to walk towards... The castle back to the King, he should be in a better mood now. The forest just took look around.
“King Fendral! I have returned and I am ready to help you!” you say. The king is pleased, “Excellent. Seems as though she has run into the forest again. Go fetch her immediately.”
Snap! You hear something in the woods…what do you do? Head this way To the castle!
Look at what you’ve come across! You hear something from behind the tree… Check behind the tree Go to the castle.
CRASH Hide. Run away.
Something starts to chase you! You look back to try and see what it is. You trip and what comes up to you is a bear! The bear looks at you evily then kills you and feeds you to her cubs. Well. Next time you’ll know to hide right?
You hide beneath some bushes. When it seems as though the coast is clear, you look up and see a beautiful woman picking some broken pieces off the ground. She sees you, smiles and welcomes you to a table to get to know her. Force her to come back to the castle with you. Eat with her.
You get to know the princess. She is one of the sweetest people you have ever met and she loves to listen to your stories. You tell her all the stories about what happened in your past kingdom, including the one where you cause trouble. She laughs because she used to know people in that kingdom who were rude and she was happy you did what you did. Bring her back to the castle. Marry her.
“Listen Princess, I think you’re great, but I think you should go back to your father, he really cares about you and we’ve all been looking for you the whole day...how come you don’t like to go home?” You say nicely. “Well my father is a very harsh man, I don’t like it when he tells me what to do all the time. Will you stay here with me?” she asks sadly, yet hopeful. Bring her back. Stay.
“Okay, I will stay here with you. I like animals and the forest…” You answer happily. Time goes on and you get to know the princess even more. After a few years of happiness you decide to ask her to marry you. Joyful, she agrees and you live happily ever after.
“I’m sorry. I have to bring you back home. Your kingdom needs you! I will be there with you at the kingdom so you have nothing to worry about.” you tell her in a comforting way. Let’s go.
You bring the princess home and everyone is delighted. No one knows how you did it, but because of you, the princess has agreed to never leave the kingdom again. You are appointed the Kings Most Favored Knight and you spend all your time being brave and saving the kingdom from animals and intruders.
Great job! You’ve completed the adventure. You made all the smart choices, took the right paths, talked to the right people, and look at the reward you’ve received!
“Come back to the castle with me, Princess, your father is in need of seeing you again, he has almost the entire kingdom looking for you.” you say as you try to grab her by the arm. “NO! Aquilla! Help me!” she screams.
The king is angry with you that you did not follow through with his wishes! You literally had one job. You are beheaded. Maybe next time you’ll think before you disagree with the king. Try better next time. If there is a next time…
You run into the castle and everyone had just heard about what you had told Thea. They immediately take you to be hanged. Game over.
Looks like Aquila the Eagle found you. Try better next time.
Seems like people in this Kingdom have more sweet skills than you do. Try again, and maybe this time you can think more wisely…
