  2. PANA Statemachine Change History • Pre-IETF69 version (04) supported draft-ietf-pana-pana-14 • Pre-IETF70 version (05) supported draft-ietf-pana-pana-17 • Current version (06) supports draft-ietf-pana-pana-18 • Covers all major protocol changes of the base spec from rev 14. Most relevant: • Use of header flags instead of explicit PANA messages • Removal of separate authentication (NAP/ISP) • Removal of common error handling (PFERs and subsequent PNR[E]) • Removal of protection capability and post-pana address validation/feature • Removal of device-id signaling IETF70 PANA WG

  3. Additional Changes • Simplification of events and action • Abbreviate insertion of AVPs in a message to make it more readable • Support for failed session timeout • Reduce redundant states; i.e. wait states for ping, reauth and eap • Added REAUTH timeout • Simplification of the document • Remove mobility optimization support – the document reflect only base protocol functionality • UML statemachine diagrams available at: http://www.opendiameter.org/public/pana-statemachine-05.pdf • Next Step: WG Last Call (??)
