  2. Personal Life • Nikolay Brusentsov was born February 7, 1925 in South Ukraine. There he lived with his father (a chemical plant specialist, his mother (teacher of a nursery school) and two other siblings.

  3. Education • He graduated with honors from a young workers school in Kalinin. And in 1953, graduate from the Radio Engineering Faculty of the Moscow Power Engineering Institute in Kalinin, where he created tables of diffraction on an elliptical cylinder.

  4. Contributions to Computer Science • In 1958, he and his laboratory created the first sample ternary computer is called “Setun”, which he got the name from a river near Moscow University. The special feature about this machine is paging and two-level memory organization, a magnetic drum
