  1. Whitney Park East Annual Meeting October 18th, 2011

  2. Agenda • Introductions • Board Elections • 2012 Goals • Budget Review and Vote • Landscaping Updates • Parking Lot Improvements • Open Discussion

  3. 2011 Board Members • Beth Clardy, President • Mark Tokarski, VP • Cindy Downey, VP • Bernardo Rodriguez, Treasurer • Matthew Reider, Secretary • All current board members are interested in remaining on the board • Need to vote on board members

  4. 2012 Goals • Include gutter cleaning (3 cleanings) in dues fee for all homes, resulting in $315 quarterly assessment (increase of $32) • Continue covenant and parking enforcement • Address erosion at top of Buttonwood and get grass to grow on Buttonwood hill • Support county installation of bus stop at end of street • Improve landscaping around front entrance • Cleanup storm damage on South Lakes Drive

  5. 2012 Proposed Budget

  6. Where does my $105/month go?

  7. Landscaping Updates • Current company (Professional Grounds) has been unable/unwilling to maintain turf areas. Plantings done by Professional Grounds are not doing well – their own representative questioned the types of plants used • Suggest going with Blade Runners at same price, see if we can get better results • Need to improve front sign area ($5000) • Need to create drainage and garden area at side of Buttonwood top sidewalk ($1000) • Need to get significant soil and turf improvements on Buttonwood Hill and behind lower Buttonwood homes

  8. Parking Lot improvements • Suggestions have been made to remove some parking islands and install new guest spots • Estimates range from $5,000-10,000 per spot, cluster does not have the resources to do this • Several owners have suggested adding stripes to the parking spots • Board was waiting until next scheduled parking lot seal (2013) to have the spaces re-measured, striped, and numbers repainted, but if there is enough interest (and the estimates are in line with budget realities) we could do this earlier • Requires a day or more of all cars parking at South Lakes High school

  9. Open Discussion • Questions, Concerns, Suggestions?
