  2. È costituito dall’insieme delle strutture attraverso le quali l’aria entra dal naso per arrivare ai polmoni e da questi ritorna all’ambiente esterno

  3. Si distingue in vie aeree inferiori e vie aeree superiori

  4. Le vie aeree superiori sono costituite da organi collocati esternamente al torace: naso, faringe, laringe

  5. Le vie aeree inferiori comprendono organi posti all’interno del torace: trachea, bronchi e polmoni

  6. La funzione svolta dall’apparato respiratorio è la VENTILAZIONE POLMONARE

  7. La finalità di questo processo è rifornire il sangue di ossigeno e liberarlo dall’anidride carbonica, che è un prodotto di scarto dell'attività cellulare
