  3. Definition of a CISMA A partnership of federal, state, and local government agencies, tribes, individuals, and various interested groups that manage invasive species in a defined area.

  9. Steering Committee Purpose: The steering committee should develop and present recommendations for larger membership, incorporate their feed-back, and oversee implementation. Operations Sub-CommitteeRapid Response Task Force Function:The task force will develop standard operating procedures for rapid response teams (primarily for animal species), coordinate rapid response efforts, and develop an information flow process for reporting new invasive species occurrences.
