RESEARCH GDITTY PILOT STUDIES • Three conditions, 20 kids randomized to each: • gDitty device for monitoring activity only (no website or rewards) • Dance Dance Revolution and gDitty device for monitoring only • gDitty device and website experience with rewards • Three sites, 60 kids per site: • Morgantown, West Virginia • San Diego, California • Mountain View, California • Participant Demographics: • 48% female, 52% male • Mixed SES • Diverse race/ethnic makeup

  2. RESEARCH GDITTY PILOT STUDIES Promising Results • INCREASES MVPA BY ~30% • GAIN PERSISTS OVER THE 6-WEEK STUDY • ~ 30% of excess daily caloric intake • ~ equivalent to an additional ¾ mile of running/kid/day ¼ mile ¼ mile ¼ mile
