  6. Matt 22:36-40‘Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?’ Jesus replied: ‘“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: “Love your neighbour as yourself.

  7. 1 John 4:10-12This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

  8. 1 John 4:8Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: love each other as I have loved you.

Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. ‘I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

  17. Holy Spirit – give us more love. When we are faced with situations that need love, let it be the Agape love that is revealed in our lives, that unconditional love that you showed us at Calvary and which the world needs to see more of. Let this be a natural fruit and let us see us as a church grow in it together. AMEN
