  3. 0 TRACK & FIELD TRY OUTS Try outs will begin on Monday, March 17th. • Meet right after school on the blacktop outside of the gym. • Come Prepared to Run! • Pick up is promptly at 4:30.

  4. SPRING SPORTS ATTENTION 6th, 7th AND 8th GRADE Girls & Boys Track & Field, Softball & Baseball First try out is March 17th.

  5. STUDENT COUNCIL Attention Student Council: Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 26th at 7:30 in Ms. Manning's room. We hope to see you there :)

  6. DEADLINE FOR ORDERING YEARBOOKS IS QUICKLY APPROACHING!! • The deadline is FRIDAY, MARCH 21ST. • All of the information for ordering yearbooks is available on Mr. Purdum’s website. • If you do not order a yearbook now, it will be very unlikely that you will be able to get one at the end of the year.

  7. The Pond Road Science Olympiad Team competed in the NJ State Tournament yesterday at Middlesex County College in Edison, NJ. Our students all worked hard and placed 7th out of 26 teams. If you see them in the hallways today please congratulate them! Individual team members placed in the following events: • 1st place: Write it Do it - Sanam Thakur and Aanya Gupta • 1st place Meterology – Roman Rychkov and RitvikAgnihortri • 2nd place: Helicopters - RitvikAgnihortri and Mariko McMurtry • 2nd place: Solar Systems - AvilashaHaldar and Nikita John • 2nd place: Experimental Design - Sahya Nara, LikithaPatlolla, and RitvikAgnihortri • 3rd place: Robo Cross – Nolan Quan and SyamAngalakuditi • 4th place: Sounds of Music - AvilashaHaldar and Brinda Suresh • 5th place: Boomilever - Sahya Nara and LikithaPatlolla • 6th place: Water Quality –AneeshSudarshan and SyamAngalakuditi Honorable mention goes to the following teams finishing just out of medal contention! • 7th place – Heredity - Revika Singh and Aishwarya Ganesh • 7th place – Road Scholar - Aishwarya Ganesh Mariko McMurtry • 8th place – Dynamic planet - Revika Singh and Roman Rychkov • 9th place – Rocks and Minerals – Nikita John and AvilashaHaldar Congratulations to ALL of the participants on their fine efforts and accomplishments Got Science!!!!!
