  4. Index Conventional Refueling Concerns In Conventional Refueling Losses In Conventional Refueling Fulfilling Customer Needs MODUS OPERANDI Strengths Benefits Savings Equipments and Specifications

  5. Conventional Refueling • There are approximately 5 lac mobile towers in India. • Each site runs approx 7 hrs daily on diesel genset. • Hourly, approx 2.25 litres diesel is consumed by the genset. • The vendors/technicians, purchase the diesel from the Retail Outlets(RO), carry it in barrels and take it to the concerned location. • The barrels are carried on LCV, Pickups etc, Approximately each LCV carries 5-6 nos 200 ltr barrels or 25-30 nos 30 ltr barrels Index

  6. Concerns In Conventional Refueling • As diesel is carried in barrel, it is highly unsafe, as chances of spills and ignition are very high. High evaporation losses. • Also there is a big threat of theft all along the way. • Tie ups between the vendor/technician and RO is very likely to happen. Practically, there is no way to check over billing. • No way to check the Quality and Quantity (Q & Q) of the product. • Difficult to ascertain the amount of diesel consumed per tower. • Some vendors also store HSD on tower site to minimize their travel cost. • Vendors take long time for reconciliation of their bills. • Misplaced/Lost fuel receipts leads to confusion in reconciliation. Index

  7. Losses In Conventional Refuelling • It is a complete un-organized and un-professional way of refueling tower sites. • Various Loses/drawbacks in the conventional method: • Spills / Ignition • Overbilling • Theft • Tie-Ups • Time Consumed for manual billing • Difficult to ascertain Q & Q of diesel Source: Pilferage estimation by ET Bureau & Senior officials of Deloitte Haskins & Sells, full report on TOI – 24.10.11 Index

  8. Fulfilling Customer Needs • Synergy Teletech eliminates the loopholes in the conventional method of refueling by catering fully automated On-Site refueling in stationary equipments. • Synergy Teletech converts the highly unprofessional, unorganized way of carrying fuel to a very professional and organized way. • On-site Refueling provides delivery of diesel at the location of the telecom tower. • Total quantity of diesel carried at one time by the Refueler is 2000 lts. • On-Site Refueling Van (OSRV) takes product from your choice of RO and deliver it to the desired telecom tower in a completely professional and automated method. Index

  9. MODUS OPERANDI (Contd.…) Fill OSRV with 2000 lts HSD OSRV arrives at the location Dispenser is activated only when OSRV is at the tower base (checked by GPS) and the card is authorized. Cameras are also activated at this moment, and recording starts. User swipes the SYNERGY CARD OSRV Starts filling diesel as per requirements Receipt has details of Quantity, such as volume of fuel dispensed, total amount etc, as well as Quality, such as density of product at the time of delivery. Technician enters the various readings Receipt is generated automatically. Data is sent to Synergy Central server. Fueling alerts can be sent to service provider on real time basis. MIS is generated based on total refueling. Index

  10. MODUS OPERANDI (Contd....) • In the morning, OSRV is filled with 2000 lts HSD from the choice of RO, as specified by the service provider. • Each tower is provided with a unique SYNERGY card. • OSRV will arrive at the location and deliver diesel as per requirement. • Filling Cycle starts only when the user swipes the unique SYNERGY Card. • Dispenser is activated only when OSRV is at the designated location (checked by GPS) and the card is authorized. • As soon as fueling starts, cameras are activated and delivery is recorded. • After the filling cycle, technician then enters the various readings of the genset like hour meter , etc Index

  11. MODUS OPERANDI (Contd....) • After entering the readings, a receipt is generated automatically on the quantity and total amount of fuel dispensed. • Receipt has details of Quantity, such as volume of fuel dispensed, total amount etc, as well as Quality, such as density of product at the time of delivery. • The data is captured and sent to our Synergy Teletech central server. • Fueling alerts can be sent to service provider on nearly real time basis. • Database is built up and can be accessed from anywhere. Index

  12. Strengths • Synergy On-Site is the Fully Automated On – Site refueling service that comes to your location and delivers fuel as required. • Synergy On-Site eliminates the need to store bulk fuel on site and all the problems with self-fueling your machinery. • The best part is that we provide automated reports on real time basis, so that you get billed only to the quantity of fuel supplied to you. • Provision of Video Recording* of your entire refueling cycle to increase transparency. • Flexible – Can be customized as per customer needs. * Under development Index

  13. Benefits Safety • Eliminates the chances of theft/spills/ignition along the way. Convenience • Service at your location. Assurance • Dispensing through fully automated dispensers, so you get billed only to the amount of fuel dispensed. • Eliminates the malpractices and tie ups between vendors / technicians and Retail Outlets. • Assurance of Q & Q of the product (as dispensed by the fuel station). Index

  14. Benefits Re-conciliation • Get daily statements on the amount of fuel dispensed on the previous day. Improve Control and Administration • Automated reports on real time basis helps you get billed to only the quantity of fuel supplied to you. This completely eliminates the usual fuel receipts lost and the cost in tracking down or verifying receipts. Prompt Delivery • Synergy On-Site deliver fuel to your site promptly to minimize downtime of equipment waiting for refueling. Index

  15. Savings • Savings in man power and man hours • You can redirect your staff to do various other jobs, because the tower refilling part will be taken care of by Synergy On-Site. • Higher savings of man-hours: more profits. • Savings in vehicle cost employed for tower filling purpose. • Savings in pilferage occurred due to theft along the way. • All records such as DG running hours/other readings can be maintained on the computer for compliance. Index

  16. Equipments and Specifications • Sturdy body of tanker to carry 4000 / 2000 L HSD. • Mobile fuel dispenser with high accuracy. • OSR Controller. • Automatic Tank Gauge. • GPS device for co-ordinate check. • POS device (card reader cum receipt printer). • GPRS modem for RT data transfer. • Adequate fire fighting facilities (Fire extinguisher). • Barrels of different volume capacity (10 to 50 L). • DC pump to transfer fuel from barrels to genset. • IP Camera for Video Recording (optional and under development).
