  2. MIGRATION AND TRADE With the organization of large-scale empires, the volume of long-distance trade increased dramatically. Much of this trade resulted from the demand for raw materials and luxury goods. Land and water routes linked many regions of the Eastern Hemisphere, while separate networks connected the peoples and societies of the Americas somewhat later. The exchange of people, technology, religious and cultural beliefs, food crops, domesticated animals, and disease pathogens developed alongside the trade in goods across far-flung networks of communication and exchange.

  3. As groups describe their MIGRATION type, please create a list or chart of what each means…

  4. What is Migration? In groups you will be given a type of migration. 1-You will need to perform a short skit depicting the type of migration 2- Write and read a paragraph analysis/example of how this migration has affected history. (both will be performed at the same time) -Be thoughtful and creative with skits. -Be prepared to give a real example of this type of migration to class. -Use Migration Chart… -skit and paragraph analysis creation time=20 minutes

  6. Group 2Types of Migration A refugee is a person who has moved to a new country because of a problem in their former home.

  7. Group 3Types of Migration An emigrant is a person who is leaving one country to live in another.

  8. Group 4Types of Migration Internal migration: moving within a state, country, or continent

  9. Group 5Types of Migration Seasonal migration: moving with each season or in response to labor or climate conditions

  10. Group 6Types of Migration Return migration: moving back to where you came from

  11. Group 7Types of Migration External migration: moving to a different state, country, or continent

  12. What is Migration? In groups you will be given a type of migration. You will need to perform a short skit depicting the type of migration and 1 paragraph analysis/example of how this migration has affected history. Be thoughtful and creative with skits. Be prepared to give a real example of this type of migration to class You will be given a chart that you will fill in with each type of migration.
