Impact of Modified Start Codons on Luciferase Activity in CaMV 35S Promoters

This study investigates how specific modifications in the start codon context influence luciferase activity driven by the CaMV 35S promoter. We analyze various positions (-4 to +4) around the start codon (ATG) to assess their effect on translational efficiency. Data are presented as relative luciferase activity percentages at different concentrations for both modified and unmodified sequences of the long and 1x versions of the CaMV 35S promoter. The findings provide insights into optimizing translational efficiency in plant biotechnology.
