This guide outlines pivotal strategies for developing a climate-neutral research campus as presented by Otto Van Geet. Key focuses include gathering baseline energy data, constructing highly efficient buildings, and utilizing onsite renewable energy sources with substantial capacity such as photovoltaic (PV) arrays and wind turbines. The incorporation of LEED Platinum/Gold certified facilities emphasizes safety, sustainability, and exemplary environmental practices. The Living Laboratory RSF Complex showcases innovative energy solutions that align with net-zero goals, providing a model for future sustainable developments.
