The Tidewater Chapter actively supported the 2011 Joint Warfighter Conference (JWC) with 28 dedicated volunteers assisting at the registration desk and the first-time chapter booth. Highlights included showcasing the Twisted Botz robotics team, live STEM demonstrations, and a visit from General Odierno. The chapter promoted membership through a VISA gift card and poker set raffle, selling $300 in new chapter coins. Efforts continued to engage with AFCEA International, partnered with Hampton Roads, and emphasized educational programs in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
