  3. 15 luty 1946 zaprezentowany zostaje ENIAC

  4. 21 czerwiec 1948 Uruchomienie pierwszego komputera Manchester Mark I

  5. 6 maja 1949 Uruchomienie EDSACa pierwszego komputera z elektroniczną pamięcią programu

  6. 31 marca 1951 John Mauchly i John Eckert budują UNIVAC I, pierwszy komercyjny komputer, zainstalowany w amerykańskiej instytucji zajmującej się spisami ludności (United StatesCensusBureau).

  7. 22 września 1952 Uruchomienie komputera ILLIAC I na Uniwersytecie Illinois (University of Illinois atUrbana-Champaign).

  8. 2 października 1955 Komputer ENIAC zostaje ostatecznie wyłączony i zdemontowany.
