  3. What is the Flex/ColdFusion Application Wizard? The wizard allows you to generate a complete Flex database access front end using database queries, CFCs, Actionscript, and MXML.

  4. What is the Flex/ColdFusion Application Wizard? (cont.) It’s a part of the ColdFusion Extentions for Flex Builder 2 This package also includes; • CFC to Actionscript Wizard • Actionscript to CFC Wizard • RDS CRUD Wizard

  5. What can the Wizard do for me? • Access the files and data sources registered in the ColdFusion Administrator from within Flex Builder 2 (or Eclipse!) • View CFC and web services • Use the visual SQL query builder • Boost Productivity!

  6. What do I need? • Download the ColdFusion Extentions for Flex Builder 2 http://www.adobe.com/products/coldfusion/flex2/#section-01

  7. How do I install it? Before you install the ColdFusion Extensions for Flex Builder, you must have the following products installed: • Flex Builder 2 • ColdFusion MX 7.0.2 Note: If you installed a previous version of the ColdFusion Extensions for Flex Builder, you must uninstall that version before installing the ColdFusion Extensions for Flex Builder feature. To do so, stop Flex Builder, delete all files that begin with "com.adobe.coldfusion." from the plugins folder that is under the Flex Builder folder, and then restart Flex Builder.

  8. How do I install it? (cont.) To install the ColdFusion Plugin for Flex Builder 2: • In Flex Builder, select Help > Software Updates > Find and Install. • Select the Search For New Features To Install option, and then click Next. • Click New Archived Site. • Select the ColdFusion_FlexBuilder_Feature.zip file, and then click Open. • When the Edit Local Site dialog box appears, click OK.

  9. How do I install it? (cont.) • Ensure that the ColdFusion_FlexBuilder_feature.zip is selected, and then click Finish. • In the Search Results window, select the check box next to ColdFusion_FlexBuilder_Feature.zip, and then click Next. • Select the I Accept The Terms In This License Agreement option, and then click Next. • Click Finish. • Click Install All. • When the installation is complete, click Yes to restart Flex Builder.

  11. Create New … (cont.) Access the ColdFusion/ Flex Application Wizard

  12. Create New … (cont.) Select the ColdFusion/ Flex Application Wizard option. You may need to supply your ColdFusion RDS password

  13. Previous Wizard Settings Select the Next button.

  14. RDS Server and Data Source Select the location of your RDS server … … and the Data Source you wish to use.

  15. RDS Server and Data Source Now the Fun Begins!!
