Should we or shouldn’t we?Must-haves for email alerts • Clickable – Must be an action for supporter to take • Compelling – message should focus on ONE piece, tell a story, relate to self • Conversational tone – casual, talking to someone you already know • Urgent – this action needs to be taken now • Relevant – how does it relate to short & long-term goals? • Empowerment – supporter needs to feel empowered, like their action will make a difference
