  3. License Plates What do I need to know about the new U.S. Government license plates? Expires in 8 Years Tracked from manufacturer until destroyed Must be returned to UNICOR for destruction Plate Number cannot be reassigned to another vehicle

  4. What are the Federal Fleet Manager’s responsibilities? • Maintain license plates and vehicle status • Assign license plate to vehicle • Update POC information • Promptly change the status of missing license plates or vehicles

  5. New Features of the FMVRS: • Updated Template • Office Codes • Printable Identification Cards • Reports Menu Changes

  6. Office Codes add a new level of organization for Agencies to further divide vehicle, license plate and user inventories in the FMVRS. • Initial uploads • Office Maintenance

  7. Vehicle Identification Cards are now available on the Vehicle Detail Screen

  8. Reports are more customizable with additions to filter criteria: • Offices • Status • Exclude GSA Leased • Email Format

  11. Bureau Codes can be added to a UNICOR order?! How? • In the Special Instructions field on the UNICOR order page type • “Bureau Code: 00” • UNICOR won’t know which Bureau Code to input unless the information is provided on incoming order

  12. Q: Do I need to mark each tag as received “RC”? A: NO  Q: I received my tag shipment, why can’t I find them in FMVRS? A: If your user ID is restricted to Bureau, you may not be able to see your orders in the FMVRS.

  15. Q: What is the Difference between Assign License Plate to VIN and Update Plate/VIN Association?A: See Below…. Assign License Plate Update License Plate Refreshed tag is ordered replacing existing tag with identical number Eliminates need to Disassociate existing tag Updates old tag to “PD” automatically • When Vehicle has NO Federal Tag associated New Tag option on Vehicle Detail page is only for creating New “OLD style” tags and should not be used to Assign a Tag to a VIN.

  17. Q: Why won’t my Vehicle Identification Card print? A: There are three reasons….

  18. A: All required information must be included in a vehicle record for an Identification Card to be generated. • Attached Federal license plate with expiration date • POC information including all mandatory fields • Vehicle record details are required, ex: color or fuel type
