  1. Annotation guide. Describe the work. (Minimum of 70 words) Who created the work and when? What type of art work is it? Painting? Sculpture? Etc. What materials were used in the piece? What could this represent? You should aim to develop this brief description by researching the piece and find the artists intentions behind the work. Annotation and reviewing of your work isan essential part of the A2 art course. If you practice your annotation you will develop your projects and achieve a higher grade. Use these questions to help you construct how you analyse an artists piece of work. Why did you choose this artist/piece of work? (Minimum of 50 words) Was it the idea/concept behind the work? Was it the materials used? Was it the effect the piece of had on you the viewer? By explaining and justifying why you are researching this artist/artwork you are demonstrating a deeper meaning behind the work and beginning to construct ideas to develop your ideas. How does it influence your project? (Minimum 100 words) The ideas behind the works (yours and the artists.) Visual impact and effect on the viewer? The materials/technique used, could you link them to your idea? How could you develop this idea into your project? By explaining how the work influences your work and how you could/would incorporate into your project you are beginning to construct exciting developments and generate more complex, meaningful pieces of work
