  1. Story of my life By: Katelyn Loraine Carney

  2. To begin… • For this creative assignment I thought that I would try something that will help me sum up the “Story of my Life” well in the best ways that I know how. I will write a poem (since I love to write) and include pictures that go along with that paragraph. • These slides will take you through the “dreamlike” childhood that I had and the bright future that lies ahead of me. The dark background represents the past…the dark tunnel that I don’t reflect upon, if I don’t have to.

  3. I remember when I was a child everyday was an adventure. No one could tell you no or never- except for my mom if my sister and I got too far from her view. I remember every day was full of sunshine and laughter, a smile never left my face as I swung as high as I could on the swing set. My sister and I would have a contest to see who could touch the sky!

  4. Oh how I miss the smell of the trees and the freshly mown grass. The feeling of my dad's big sweaty hand as I walked a long side him in the hot sun- mowing the lawn. My mower was very special because it blew out bubbles instead of cut the grass. I miss the endless childish games of tag, duck-duck-goose, hide and go seek, and water games with the neighborhood kids, the sleepovers , dance parties, makeovers and PIZZA!

  5. I remember every Christmas, i couldn't sleep; for Santa Clause was coming! I remember listening so hard for his reindeer. On the morn, I would wake up so excited to see presents wrapped under the tree so nicely! I remember all of the scraps and bruises I seemed to get everyday, from falling down or tripping during child play! I miss all the times when I would make cookies and lemonade, then sell them on the corner of my street with my sister and my best friend. We didn't sell much, because we ate all the cookies while we waited for people to drive by.

  6.  How can I forget the summer storms that would roll by? During the night when lightning flashed and thunder shook the house...and my little body. I snuggled next to my mom and dad, hiding under their covers, in fright.

  7. Times have changed. Now I am older, an adult. I know of the world and its evil and nothing seems innocent anymore. I'm stressed and a bit overwhelmed, but I dream at night where one day I will have a child of my own.  Where their excitement and happiness on Christmas morning is mine. I await the day to see their faces!! Or the day I see them mowing the lawn, holding their father’s hands.

  8. I await the day in excitement for my husband and I to cuddle and marvel our lives realizing together how lucky and blessed we are! I am excited for my child's first thunderstorm, where his/her big eyes and a trembling little body will snuggle up to father and I. My husband holding us both, his family. Then wake up to a day as good as it was that day.
