  4. The Seder Plate Green vegetables are a reminder that Passover is a Spring festival, these are dipped into salt water to remember the sweat and tears of slavery. A roasted hardboiled egg symbolises new life Roasted bone to remember Pesach offerings that would be brought into the Holy Temple in Jerusalem. Two types of bitter vegetables remind of the misery and slavery Fruit and spices are mixed with red sweet wine. This represents freedom.

  5. Unleavened Bread Unleavened bread, or matzo, is a traditional food that is eaten on Passover as a reminder that the Jews who fled Egypt had no time to bake their bread before fleeing. On the table, there are three Matzot (unleavened bread) on top of each other. At the start of the Seder, the middle Matzah is broken and the largest piece is hidden. During the Seder the children hunt for it. The one who finds it receives a small prize.
