Power over Ethernet Details • IEEE P802.3af draft-compliant 24-port Power over Ethernet QoS switch • All standards compliant devices can be powered • Provides power to devices while maintaining connectivity to standard 10/100 Mbps Ethernet devices • Supply power to IP devices up to 15.4 watts per port • Meets IEEE P802.3af standard • Auto discovery feature • Automatically recognizes the connection of a device and immediately sends power to it • Dynamic power management • Each port can be configured to limit the power delivered to the IP device • Each port can also be configured for power priority level – Low, High, and Critical • Total available power is monitored • Switch may turn off low priority ports if total available power is fully utilized • Active circuit protection • Automatically disables the port if there is a short • Other ports remain active
