  2. I. The Meanings of the word “ Confession ” 1. To Acknowledge God’s Goodwill Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his mercy endures for ever. (Dan 3 : 89) Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, [And] into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, [and] bless His name (Psa 100 : 4)

To Declare Faith For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Rom 10 : 10) " Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven (Mat 10 : 32)

To Declare Sinning If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1Jo 1 : 9) Confess [your] trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much (Jam 5 : 16)

Admitting in front of one’s Own Self Learning and Discipleship For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; (Jam 1 : 23) "Because you say, 'I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing' -- and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked -- (Rev 3 : 17)
