Bay County 4-H Program Engagement and Opportunities for Youth Development

In 2013, a total of 4,629 Bay County youth aged 5-18 participated in various 4-H programs. With active participants in Panama City, Youngstown, Calloway, and Southport, the initiative shows a strong commitment to youth development. The 4-H program includes diverse areas such as Plant Science, Communications, and Expressive Arts, engaging over 89 youth in enrichment programs and 768 in 4-H camps. With a dedicated volunteer base contributing 2,100 hours, valued at approximately $40,000, the program underscores its impact as an equal opportunity institution fostering growth among its youth.
