The ideal time to start the polishing process is within seven days after the concrete slab has been poured.   7. LARGE AGGREGATE POLISHED CONCRETE The large aggregate requires a 1/4-inch surface cut depth and has a large aggregate exposure with little or no fine aggregate exposure at random locations. The ideal time to start polishing concrete is almost immediately after a concrete slab has been poured.
