  1. Why You Need An Acquirer bank to process payment Presented by Liberty Enterprises

  2. About Liberty Enterprises Liberty Enterprises Inc. was established in June of 1995 with an Internet presence since early 2003. Since that time, we have provided high risk merchant accounts, offshore IBC company formation services and within the last few years, Bitcoin trading accounts and Panama residency services to businessmen and entrepreneurs across the world.

  3. What is an Acquiring Bank? As e-commerce , before you start accepting online payments on your website, you must sign an agreement with your acquirer. Without this document, you will not be able to receive money after a transaction is completed. There are three parties involved in every credit or debit card transaction: the seller, the customer and, sitting in between them, the acquiring bank. An acquiring bank (sometimes referred to as “acquirer” or “credit card bank”) is an institution that has the Cards Schemes authorization to process a transaction so by signing a contract with the acquirer, a merchant can process credit and debit card transactions.

  4. How does it all work? When the customer arrives at checkout to finalize his purchase, the transaction process is first initiated by a payment gateway which is responsible for acquiring transaction authorization and data encryption to ensure the safe transmission of data along the red. Once the process has been initiated by the gateway, the acquiring bank takes the transaction data from the merchant and passes it on to the card association (VISA, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, etc). The card association, along with the issuing bank (the bank of the customer), verify this information and establish the authenticity of the transaction by confirming that the card is valid and has sufficient funds. Once the transaction has been approved, the card association and the issuing bank send their approval to the Acquiring bank to credit the funds to the merchant. The settlement of the funds between accounts usually happens at a regular frequency.
