  1. 6 Ways to Protect Your Body During Cold and Flu Season

  2. 1. Hand Sanitizer: This anti-bacterial solution in hand sanitizer is a game changer. Germs can live up to five hours on things like shopping carts, so make it a habit to wipe things down. If you’re not able to wash your hands, a little hand sanitizer can go a long way.

  3. 2. Green Tea: Green tea is packed with antioxidants that help boost the immune system and decrease any inflammation in your system. Which means, it’ll help you fight off diseases. Just make sure you don’t go crazy with the added sugar.

  4. 3. Vitamin C: Vitamin C is what you should take when you feel a tickle in your throat and want to prevent it from becoming something more serious. Airborne is what you take when you know you’re about to be exposed to something (maybe you’re traveling, going to a kid’s party, etc.).

  5. 4. Water: You need to up your fluids during flu season! Staying hydrated keeps mucus from entering your throat AND helps your body function correctly. So, drink up.

  6. 5. A Jacket: Always carry a jacket with you and put it on, even when there’s a chill. When you’re at home, wrap up. Put on a cozy blanket and your fuzzy socks. Trust me, it’s better to be warm than to be cold.

  7. 6. Salt Water: Use salt water to gargle with a couple times a day to help ease your scratchy throat AND be sure to take Vitamin C to help yourself bounce back. Checklist for skin care during winter season
