  2. Welcome to my class!! Hope you are looking for some different, fun formative assessment tools for your classroom. Research the tools provided and try them out. I have provided many, so hopefully, you will find ones that compliment your teaching style and will be fun for your students. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me! Do not stress over my class. I am here to help you build your teaching toolbox. FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT THE GOAL OF FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT IS TO MONITOR STUDENT LEARNING TO PROVIDE ONGOING FEEDBACK THAT CAN BE USED BY INSTRUCTORS TO IMPROVE THEIR TEACHING AND STUDENTS TO IMPROVE THEIR LEARNING. SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT THE GOAL OF SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENTS TO EVALUATE STUDENT LEARNING AT THE END OF AN INSTRUCTIONAL UNIT BY COMPARING IT AGAINST SOME STANDARD OR BENCHMARK.

  6. Today, digital tools available in smartphones and tablets make implementing formative assessment as easy and effective as ever. SUCCESS IS NO ACCIDENT. IT IS HARD WORK.

Backchannels offer students the chance to ask questions and chat in real time during other activities like lectures, discussions, or even Socratic seminars. Discussion forums help students create a lively and productive exchange of ideas. Digital tools use a combination of these features -- the best ones offer teachers the most control, with custom setups, detailed feedback, and moderation options.   17. TASK TWO After completing task one, explain why you think formative assessment is essential in your classroom and how you plan on using the tools in the future.

  18. TASK THREE Create a presentation with PowerPoint, Google Slides, or other tool with the links to your formative assessments and e-mail it to me when you are complete. (Let me know if you need extra time.) :)
