A Dedicated Group…. • NVARNG Honor Guard is under the direct • supervision of the State Senior Enlisted Leader • A DoD contract coordinator assists • in federal program oversight • 10 full time Guard Soldiers conduct • daily operations for the • Nevada State Army Honor Guard • in the northern and southern regions • Over 100 M-Day Soldiers support the • Nevada State Army Honor Guard • mission statewide

MILITARY FUNERAL HONORS • Veteran – Taps, Three man flag fold, flag presentation • Retiree – Firing Party, Taps, Three man flag fold, • flag presentation • KIA – Full Honors; Pall Bearers, Six man flag fold, • seven man firing party with FPC, Color Guard • GO/E-9 – Full Honors; Pall Bearers, Six man flag fold, • seven man firing party with FPC, Color Guard

  7. Nevada ARNG Honor Guard INCENTIVES • Issued Dress Blues • Receive pay for funeral honors duty • Retirement points • Memo of Appreciation from SEL • State Commendation Medal after 15 missions. • ARCOM after 75 missions • Attendance to ARNG Honor Guard Course

Nevada ARNG Honor Guard REQUIREMENTS TO BE ON THE HONOR GUARD TEAM • SOLDIER MUST BE COMPLETED WITH THEIR IET • SOLDIER MUST HAVE A LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION FROM THEIR UNIT COMMANDER OR 1SG • SOLDIER MUST HAVE A PASSING RECORD PT TEST FROM THEIR UNIT AND BRING IN THEIR DA 705 APFT SCORECARD • SOLDIER MUST BE WITHIN AR 600-9 (HEIGHT AND WEIGHT) AND NOT FLAGGED
