At that moment there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from Heaven, went forward and rolled back the stone and took his seat upon it. His appearance was dazzling like lightning and his clothes were white as snow. The guards shook with terror at the sight of him and collapsed like dead men.

  6. Matthew 28:1-10 (Phillips) • But the angel spoke to the women, • “Do not be afraid. I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here – he is risen, just as he said he would. Come and look at the place where he was lying. Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead. And, listen, he goes before you into Galilee! You will see him there! Now I have told you my message.”

  7. Matthew 28:1-10 (Phillips) • Then the women went away quickly from the tomb, their hearts filled with awe and great joy, and ran to give the news to his disciples. • But quite suddenly, Jesus stood before them in their path, and said, “Peace be with you!” And they went forward to meet him and, clasping his feet, worshipped him. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go now and tell my brothers to go into Galilee and they shall see me there.”

  10. The Resurrection • Where is our hope? • Risen, living, eternal Lord • “Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from beginning to end. He did not give up because of the cross! On the contrary, because of the joy that was waiting for him, he thought nothing of the disgrace of dying on the cross, and he is now seated at the right side of God's throne. Think of what he went through; how he put up with so much hatred from sinners! So do not let yourselves become discouraged and give up” Hebrews 12:2-3 (Good News) • Challenges • Who is Jesus to me? • How do I feel when life doesn’t go my way? • Why are we surprised at the Resurrection? • Look Up and Look Out

Do you believe this?” John 11:25-16 (Good News) Born again He’s risen, Hallelujah! Christis risen He’s risen, Hallelujah! Just as He said He is risen, Hallelujah! Go tell Joy to the world Hallelujah!
