  1. OPHP TAC Structure TAC TAC member subcommittees Example: EMS, MI-TRAIN Professional Committees (Jim Koval) Subject matter expert Workgroup I Example: Smallpox Subject matter expert Workgroup II Example: SNS Subject matter expert Workgroup III Example: Epi/Surveillance • TAC members are local and state healthcare and public health professionals • TAC member subcommittees will address issues that involve more time than can be allotted in TAC meetings. Committee members will report back to TAC with their recommendations for TAC to vote on. • Professional committees, facilitated by Jim Koval, provide guidance on training standards for various groups of professionals and report findings to TAC and subject matter workgroups • Subject Matter expert workgroups are comprised of professionals from various backgrounds, including healthcare and public health. These experts are recruited by TAC members and will use TAC training framework and Professional Committee advise to sift through existing courses offered in a particular subject area, categorize these courses according to framework (Awareness, Technical and Skilled), and report findings to TAC with recommendations for trainings that still need to be developed. Three examples of SME workgroups are: Smallpox, SNS, and Epidemiology/surveillance
