  2. SciFinder Scholar 2007 There are six new features in the latest version of SciFinder Scholar: • Categorize Answer Sets • Save Answer Sets • Combine Answer Sets • Print Structures in Grid Layout • Explore from Substance Displays • Export Commercial Chemical records into Excel

  3. Categorize Answer Set • Analyze answer sets by dividing into categories • Found under “Analzye/Refine”

  7. Save Answer Set Tips on saving answer sets: • Create a specific folder or directory of folders to save your answer sets it • Add “ref” “sub” or “rxn” to the end of the set name to indicate the type of records it contains. • Ex: “antidiabetesdrugs1ref”

  8. Combine Answer Sets “Combine” feature allows you to: • Combine • Intersect • Remove one answer set from another. Step #1: Click “Combine”

  9. Combine Answer Sets Step #2: Choose a saved answer set

  10. Combine Answer Sets Step #3: Click “Estimate” to see how many results would be returned from each action.

  11. Combine Answer Sets Step #4: Choose to combine, intersect, or a remove a set by clicking on the button to the left of each option.

  14. Explore from Substance Displays Simply clicking on a substance of interest from the display will now allow you to: • Explore the literature • Refine your current answer set • Search for reactions and more.
