  1. Bridge Design Brief • Goal: Design and build a bridge • Requirements: • Must be strong - Ratio of weight held vs. material used • Must look cool • Constraints: • must design within given template • 1/8” basswood and glue only • Rubric • will be provided

Bridge Checklist • 4 idea drawings – line only • Template drawing – with material thickness • Tape down to cardboard cover with wax paper • Construct side 1 • Tape down new wax paper and construct side 2 • Tape both completed sides down and glue in horizontal beams • Measure template • Test and score

  3. Bridge Rubric • Student Teacher • Drawing 25 • Construction 25 • Performance 25 • Effort 25 • Total
