1. The Home & School Association is looking for a few new members  MTC Families, The Home & School Association will have 2 vacancies to fill for the upcoming 2014-2015 school year. The Executive Board wishes to thank Kimellen Remar and Jenn Petka for their time, service, and dedication to the HASA Board. Their departures will leave us with openings in both the Member at Large position and the Vice President position. Listed below are descriptions of these positions for your reference: Vice – President: Voting Member of the Executive Board and in the absence of the President shall perform the duties of the President. The Vice-President shall perform such other duties as are assigned by the President or the Executive Board. The Vice President, along with President, is also responsible for keeping the HASA webpage current and providing email responses from webpage postings. The Vice-President will also actively participate in 1-2 committee events during the school year. The person elected to this position will serve for 2 years. Member At Large: Member of the Executive Board who will be responsible for keeping homeroom parents informed of happenings with HASA , shall be a voting member of the board, attend all board meetings, and actively participate in 1-2 committee events during the school year. The person elected to this position will serve for 1 year. If there is more than one person expressing interest in a HASA Board position, elections will be held at the last general meeting on Monday, May 12, 2014. As you consider your interest in becoming part of the board, you should be aware that HASA Executive Board meetings are held the first Monday of each month from 6:30 – 8:30 pm unless there is a holiday or other event which requires the meeting date to be changed. We would also anticipate that our new board members will join us for the last meeting of the school year on Monday, June 2, 2014 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm.
