Arab Americans and specifically professionals, Engineers, Architects and ITs have been living in this country for many years during which they have enriched the lives and the culture of this country.   10. Mission Statement of the NAAE&A: • "AAAEA is a professional Arab American association dedicated to help, strengthen, empower and inspire its members for excellence. AAAEA promotes and advocates the Arab American Engineers, Computer Science and Architects in North America, by providing career and educational enhancement programs, technical exchange, fellowship, and community service. It is a non-political and non-religious. Membership is open to corporations, academic, professional institutions, and qualified individuals.   13. That is why 7 years ago, Tri State AAAEA Leaders teamed up to establish this professional association and that is why I am thankful for being part of the team, thankful for being a member and a cofounder: Maher Abdelqader, CCM , Cofounder and Executive Board Member

Our Goals: • To further the public welfare whenever engineering knowledge is involved and to act upon matters which are the concern of the engineering profession? • Promote cooperation and mutual assistance among the members. • Conduct academic review courses and technical seminars to update members’ knowledge on the latest technologies and regulations effecting the engineering profession. • Establish scholarship programs to encourage qualified and talented students to pursue engineering field studies. • Cooperate with other professional organizations. • Establish a presence in Chicago. • Serve the professional interest of the general membership and strive to promote professional consciousness and fellowship through collective interdisciplinary activities all in accordance with recognized and established engineering ethics, and within existing applicable laws Maher Abdelqader, CCM , Cofounder and Executive Board Member

  15. Who are we? • The Arab American Association of Engineers and Architects (AAAEA) is a non-profit, non-political, non-religious professional organization. It is open to all architects, engineers and computer science professionals and students of Arab heritage residing in the USA. • AAAEA is dedicated to helping its members succeed and advance in their professions by networking and interacting among each other’s through technical, educational, and social activities and events. History: • AAAE&A was founded by a group of 33 engineers, architects & IT professionals who met in the spring of 2006.  The association is registered in the state of New Jersey as of February 14, 2007 as a non-profit organization.  AAAEA enjoys a strong presence in the NY, NJ& CT and other areas around the tri- states.  We have 14 sister associations in the US. AAAEA Mission: AAAEA is a professional organization dedicated to helping its members succeed in their professions by networking among each other through social activities and by conducting continuing education seminars and workshops.   18. Tri-State AAAEA Accomplishments •   Hosted the national annual convention in 2009 with over 50 representatives from 16 different sister organizations from around the country. AAAEA is planning to officially go national by the end of 2011. • v  Obtained recognition and cooperation from various groups around the tri-state area such as NAAP, Organization of Turkish Engineers, ADC and others. • v  Awarded 13 scholarships since its establishment to Arab American engineering and IT students from the tri-state area. • v  Collaborated with National & International Professional Associations in conducting joint events such as Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) • Visit our site at http://www.tristate-aaaea.org   / • Hope you will join us and be part of our professional Association soon Maher Abdelqader, CCM , Cofounder and Executive Board Member

Ladies & Gentlemen, Time and again, during my work with AAAEA and other groups, I have encountered very dedicated, responsible leaders who longed to make a difference in our community and the image being portrayed in America. Armed with the spirit of those people I remain confident of the future.
