  1. T400 Motor Replacement

  2. Tools Require • Phillips screw driver • 2mm, 8mm hex screw driver • 17mm,19mm ,32mm wrench • Adjustable wrench

  3. Remove blade Remove arbor bolt (Figure 1) to remove blade Figure 1: Arbor flange and bolt

  4. Arbor Flange • Remove inside flange from shroud by removing set screw at the bottom of the shroud. Figure 2: Arbor flange and set screw

  5. Remove shroud -Pull off inside flange and unscrew the four bolts on the shroud -Then disconnect the hoses from the top of the shroud Figure 3: Shroud Water line

  6. Remove Belt Loosen four bolts that hold motor to remove belt, then loosen the set screw and pull off the pulley (Figure 4) Figure 4: T400 belt Motor roller

  7. Motor Bolts -Remove 4 bolts that hold motor (front and back) -Remove motor wire connectors Figure 5: Motor bolts Power connector

  8. T400 Motor -Level motor mounting table and lock the feed handle -Pull out motor Figure 6: T400 motor

  9. Replace Roller and Belt • Set new motor in place • Install motor drive wheel and belt Figure 7: T400 drive wheel T400 belt

  10. Power connector Reconnect power cables according to diagram on back of the cover Replace cover and tighten screws Figure 8: Motor bolts Power connector

  11. Motor shroud Reconnect hoses on the top of the shroud Slide on the shroud and tighten the four screws Figure 9: Shroud Water line

  12. Aligning Inside Flange • Reinsert arbor flange. Then tighten the arbor blade and bolt before reinserting set screw inside flange Figure 10: Arbor flange Arbor blade

  13. Inside Flange Tighten the set screw that holds the inside flange Figure 11: Set screw hold the flange
